The
Financial Stability Institute at the BIS
has recently published the results of
its second survey of the plans for the
implementation of Basel 2 by countries
across the world. A region-wise review
of these results, in the light of a similar
survey carried out in 2004, finds that
the sheer scale of the global count-down
towards Basel 2 is revealing.
