The
paper discusses the issue of policy space
available for developing countries to
adopt trade and industrial policies, with
an emphasis on the NAMA negotiations currently
underway at the WTO. It is shown that
the policy space for developing countries
has been constantly shrinking and it is
at the risk of shrinking even further,
to the point of making the use of any
meaningful policy for economic development
impossible.
