paper examines the comparative experience
of China and Mexico in processing industries
(assembly operations) mainly with the
help of foreign direct investment (FDI).
In this paper, an intensive analysis of
the data is undertaken to establish facts
on the performance of the two countries
in expansion of exports and value added
through production of domestic parts and
components.
