It Ain’t Social, It Ain’t Capital and It Ain’t Africa Ben Fine

Based on a critical overview of the emergence and content of social capital as an analytical category and an equally critical review of its application to Africa this article concludes that social capital should, in general, be rejected rather than adopted and adapted for radical and progressive uses.
