In Memoriam: Professor Giovanni Andrea Cornia

Giovanni Andrea Cornia-a friend and mentor to IDEAs from its inception was a giant of an economist and an unforgettable human being. He made major contributions to our understanding of macroeconomics, inequality and development, and his work is widely used in policy discussions and debates. He was a great teacher, an impassioned advocate for economic justice, and a warm, generous and endearing friend and mentor. At IDEAs, we cherish our association with him over more than two decades, and extend our deepest condolences to his family (especially Jeannie and Marco) and all those who were close to him. Here we publish some tributes to him from colleagues, friends and students.
